Frequently rated one of the best Luau’s on the Island, this is a fun night of culture, history, dancing, drums and more. One advantage that Island Breeze Luau’s have is their unique location on perhaps the most important historical spot on the Islands. The first king to rule over all the islands, Kamehameha the Great chose to live on the Big Island and he chose to live right where Island Breeze performs their Luau.
This popular luau features begins with the traditional Hawaiian feast of Kalua Pork, Sweet potatoes, and if you’re brave, Poi (Hawaiian taro root). It’s a 22 dish cultural feast. The show itself consists of dances from the nations of Hawaii, Fiji, Tahiti, Samoa and more and ends with the famous fire-knife dance. It is a 3 1/2 hour experience and is geared to be family friendly and appropriate, perhaps more so than some of the other luau’s on the island.
Island Breeze puts on a great show. The setting is idyllic right on the waters and the history runs deep. You will have a fun evening that.
